Award German Brand Award 2024 in two categories: Corporate Brand of the Year and Excellent Brands: Industry, Machines, and Engineering
Bystronic is a global player in the sheet metal industry with employees that are passionate about what they do. However, their machines once dominated the brand’s appearance, leaving little space to a human touch. The rebranding brought a new sense of self-confidence — expressed through an approachable, warm, and authentic corporate design that puts people at the centre.
I supported the rebranding process from the beginning and took full ownership as Design Lead after the initial concept phase. Over the course of two years, I developed a holistic brand experience across print and digital channels, built strategic design systems, and helped to shape a consistent visual language that bridges precision and emotion.

Brand Portal
All brand elements were consolidated in a digital brand portal. A single source of truth that ensures consistency and easy access to guidelines, assets, and templates across all teams.
Our close and collaborative client relationship was a key success factor, with weekly check-ins and ongoing strategic alignments. To ensure internal adoption, I also facilitated brand workshops for employees — empowering them to confidently apply the new design in their daily work.
